A lifetime horseperson, Robin Gates began her formal education in riding over 20 years ago with a focus on dressage, competing through the level of Prix St. George and training through Grand Prix. As a horse trainer, she works with horses in all levels and stages of development in all disciplines. Robin’s understanding of the language of horses came from 20 years of friendship and study with Carolyn Resnick, a renowned leader in the field of horse communication. Carolyn developed her knowledge of horses through interacting with wild horses in their own environment. By observing lead horse behavior she formed a system of using pecking order to develop a bond to enhance the relationship between horses and humans. The core of Robin’s work is centered on the Carolyn Resnick method of developing a willing relationship with the horse by establishing leadership using the horse’s own language and deep desire to bond.  This is shown through the 7 Waterhole Rituals. Through a series of interactions with your own horse you will discover who your horse is, gaining his respect and deepening the bond between the two of you.
